The Government has amended the Buildings Ordinance to introduce the Minor Works Control System, facilitating members of the public to carry out minor works (including the installation of solar water heating system and photovoltaic system) in private buildings lawfully through simplified procedures and thereby improve the building safety in Hong Kong.
