Power Tower System - Solar One Power Tower System, Southern California, USA
The Solar One 10MWe pilot power tower plant operated from 1982 to 1988 as a demonstration project to prove the technical feasibility of solar power tower technology. During its operational period, the system was available for more than 80 percent of the time. This system was then replaced by the larger Solar Two demonstration project.
