If the installation involves building structures or involves modifications to building structures, the requirements of the Buildings Ordinance have to be complied with.  Also read the Building Structure/Space Consideration part in another page.

For electrical installations work, one should make reference to the Code of Practice for the Electricity (Wiring) Regulations.
